It's true what they say...
August is like the Sunday of summer.
It's a tough combination the desire to slowdown and soak it in and the feeling of urgency to fulfill the activity bucket list before the season disappears!
If you're starting to feel the panic but you're also hoping to keep it simple, here are 3 easy ways to enjoy late summer:
1. Attend a local farmer's market or Pop Up
Farmer's Markets:
We're so fortunate that most areas of the country have some sort of farmer's market where growers are able to share their hard work and show off their green thumbs with fresh fruits and veggies from their gardens! Many markets also include bakers, makers, and other small businesses! This is an awesome way to find handmade goods, soaps and lotions, candles and more!
*Personal faves- Farmer's Market @ Rye Tavern in Plymouth, MA , Kingtson Farmer's Market Gray's Beach
Pop Ups:
These are truly one of my favorites to attend! Not only can you support a maker, you usually support the small business hosting them as well! What could be better than that? The encouragement, kind words, and purchases you share really do make a huge difference in helping to gain momentum and confidence to keep pushing forward. Plus, these are the best spots to find gifts and self treats that feel a little extra special!

2. Page through a beach read! Extra points if it's from a small book store!
Books for work, self development and productivity are incredibly beneficial, but sometimes you just need to put down the highlighter and notepad and lighten things up! Cue my personal beach read of the summer with all the millennial memories!
*Snacks, Sips + Page Flips!

3. Visit an ice cream stand or try a new flavor from your favorite brand!
There's nothing better than ice cream in the summer on a hot day, but sometimes the simple activities find themselves at the bottom of the list! Before we say goodbye to August say hello to a scoop of your favorite flavor from a tried and true local shop or savor a delicious dish of something new from a favorite brand while enjoying a late sunset!
